After some extra time, I am done with 2 out of 4 and happy with 1. I feel I will need to come back to the space one. Change some colors and add something, maybe extra planets, because right now it feels a bit meh. At first I was going for "A Trip To the Moon"feel, but it got lost in the process. I shouldn't try to make stuff late at night. The Empire State one looks a bit poster-like, but I don't think it is much of an issue. I think it conveys the original meaning (construction of Empire State building) well, if a bit grotesque. Both done mostly with masking and layer blending, with occasional use of render/clouds. Now I need to find an idea for using a pattern and scannogram.
